Avree Kelly Clark is a historical fiction author dedicated to resurrecting true stories of real figures and events. Her award-winning debut novel, Malice Aforethought, revives the story of a shocking murder in Pembroke, New Hampshire, in the autumn of 1875. Her sophomore novel covers the complete investigation into the most infamous serial killer to come out of New Hampshire—Herman Webster Mudgett.
When she’s not working on researching her next book, Avree’s a freelance proofreader and copy editor who enjoys reading, daily walks, kayaking on the lake, puzzling, and visiting the rocky coast of Maine.
Avree lives in southern New Hampshire with her husband of eighteen years and their beloved cat, Aloysius.
