Useful Pieces
Sean and Jill are just beginning to see their hopes and dreams fulfilled, having recently moved into a charming cottage that seems too good to be true. Looming above their new home is the grand mansion owned by the Charmeins, an aging couple who appear to know everything about them. Sean and Jill begin to suspect the Charmeins are behind the unsettling events that are steadily upending their lives, all to serve some hiddenagenda. How two reclusive elderly people could orchestrate such chaos remains a disturbing mystery. The reason why soon becomes terrifyingly clear, driving Sean and Jill to plot a desperate revenge — one that ends with consequences neither of them could ever have imagined.
A thrilling mystery from the Author of Deep Lake House and The Mart, DJ Geribo is able to write across literary genres creating characters with whom it’s nearly impossible to not become deeply involved
Deep Lake House
Many people have made their way to Deep Lake House over the years, but only a few stand out among them – a train robber from the 1890s, an unhappily married woman from the 1920s overshadowed by a dominating mother-in-law, a talented opera singer in the 1940s who’s lost her voice, a young married couple in the 1970s trying to find their way back to each other, and a few more as equally memorable.
Each uniquely fascinating story is as captivating as the next, told by the most authentic narrator, the House itself.
The Mart
A love story complete with drama, jealousies, friendship, family, and even a murder, The Mart, a novel and the seven related stories, highlight the relationship between Bitsy, Lewis, and the characters who soon become her family of friends. The A-to-Z Mart brought Bitsy and Lewis together but can they survive everything that threatens to keep them apart?
The Mart and the seven stories that follow reveals Bitsy’s journey in an unforgettable telling, exploring the personalities and often complicated relationships among the people in Bitsy’s new, and sometimes scary, world she’s immersed in at the A-to-Z Mart.
Me & Them
Me & Them is a collection of familial memories, some enhanced by the creative inspiration of DJ Geribo, who as best as she could, recounted the many every day occurrences of her childhood growing up in the late 1950s and beyond.
The photos associated with each story will give you a glimpse of what’s to come. The stories themselves will keep you reading to find out more about the people who, despite their shortcomings, raised a daughter who went against the family traditions of becoming a housewife and mother to pursue an education with a BA/English degree which put her on the path to becoming a writer and an author. Her memories growing up in the 1950s and 60s are sure to bring a hint of recognition for those who grew up in those times.
Seven Storied Houses
Author DJ Geribo’s book, Seven Storied Houses, is a collection of short stories featuring a variety of homes and the people who live in them, from the wealthy but estranged couple living in a mansion to the disable boy cared for by a devoted and loving mother living in a trailer, each story will find you laughing or crying for the tragedy that is their lives.
Seven Storied Houses explores the concept of how a home can perfectly identify the people who live there or can wrongly label the souls struggling to get through each day, no matter if they are rich or poor. This collection of stories vividly told from multiple points of view exposes the truth about the lives that are lived inside.
